Bridging the gap through voice.
Founded by a linguist with a passion for languages, Vocare empowers skilled migrants to rise through the power of their voices—creating better outcomes for care providers and the people they support.
Our Mission
To help as many skilled migrants as possible to speak with clarity and confidence in the care sector.
Our Vision
A care sector where skilled migrants thrive. A system where every frontline worker is heard and understood the first time, empowering them to advance in their careers and deliver the highest quality of care.
Our Core Values
Sweat the small stuff
Quality is in the handwritten notes, the personalised messages and keeping promises.
Empathy
We know what it’s like to work in a second language. We know what it feels like to be cared for by others. We know what it’s like to run a business.
Integrity
Don’t take shortcuts. Do the hard stuff first. Do the right thing — always. Even when it is slower, most expensive or painful. Right wins over fast and easy.
Our Team

Seshnie Taylor

A linguist who speaks 5 languages, loves to connect with people and is driven to help others through the power of language and voice. Sesh previously founded a successful languages company in Shanghai which she successfully exited in 2020. Sesh cares deeply about skilled migrants and the migrant journey. She is also a mum to a human daughter and a fluffy son. A keen violinist and poet she enjoys creative hobbies and spending time with her family and friends.

Outside of work, Yong volunteers her tech skills in the community—just another way to give back. Off-screen, she's an avid crocheter, gardener, and A-to-Z animal lover to Alfie and Zebbie the cat.

Alfie

Alfie believes in time management: importantly at least 2 walks in nature every day, regular food (cheese is life) and water and time for pats and play. He directly helps Vocare in many ways including his fluffy pronunciation tips. He keeps us all balanced and well.
